Two-Stage Reciprocating Compressors
  • Multi-finned cylinders for maximum cooling, longer life and consistent performance over time.
  • Gasket-free, integral cylinder/head. No more blown out head gaskets.
  • Pistons - first-stage piston, of aluminum alloy, is weight matched to the second-stage cast iron piston ensuring proper balance. Three compression rings and one oil control ring are used for better oil control, less air blow-by and higher efficiency.
  • Connecting Rods, are high-density, die cast aluminum alloy to minimize reciprocating weight. Has integral, precision-bored crankpin bearing and a needle bearing for the piston pin to properly distribute bearing loads - longer bearing life than bushings!
  • Single-unit (disk type) Valves - Discs are made of corrosion resistant Swedish steel: valves provide low lift and long life. Valves are easily serviced by removing the manifolds only.
  • Flywheel - Precision balanced flywheel has fan blades for optimizing compressor cooling and life.
  • Intercoolers, of large-diameter finned tubing, are positioned to obtain the greatest cooling effect between stages for maximum compressor efficiency.
  • Centrifugal Unloader - Positive acting, governor-type assures longer motor life by allowing the compressor to start unloaded - every time!
  • Main Bearings - Tapered roller type for longest possible life.
